Hello, and WELCOME to Cloth Convert.
Over the last few years my family has grown and I have been blessed with amazing children. I'm always trying to find better ways for giving my children the best for what they need each day. I've had to sneak in vegetables for my picky eaters, make a daily chore schedule to teach responsibility, and for my littlest of members, I want the purest of fabrics touching their squishy little bottoms. When my oldest two were in diapers the only thing I knew about cloth diapering was prefolds, pins and plastic pants. Actually, I thought that was all that was available! So I headed out to the store and bought me a stash of Gerber prefolds, pins, and pants. And you know, for that time, they worked wonderful. I was seeing the benefits of cloth diapering right away as I was not having to make so many trips to the store to buy diapers for two little ones.
Five years after the birth of my second child, I give birth to my third. I knew I wanted to get back into cloth, but I had a feeling that I needed to do some research. After all, through many conversations with other moms who have used cloth, I knew there was more out there than just what my mom used to use. So I began researching. I spent many hours surfing the web and comparing diapers amongst the various websites. I didn't jump in and make my first purchace until my fourth child was about three months old. I started out with fitteds and covers. Then I ventured out into the prefold world and just recently have I fallen in love with pockets. With the recent birth of my fith child in September 2010, it gave the the opportunity to start cloth diapering from the beginning, and I haven't looked back since.
My passion (some may say obsession) for cloth diapers has driven me to want to share the benefits of cloth diapering with others. One thing that I had always wished for while seaching out for diapers is for a shop near by. I've had to make all my purchaces online except for a few that I made while at a store an hour from home. Now I don't know about you, but as a busy stay-at-home mom of five kids, it is hard to get everyone in order to make a trip to a store an hour away, just for diapers. So through my nightly conversations with my husband about all the neat things I learn and discover about cloth diapers, I realized I have the perfect opportunity to open my own store here in central Nebraska. I started Cloth Convert with the hopes to provide education, products, and support for any family seeking a more natural way of parenting.
